El presidente Obama hizo una visita sorpresa a la oficina de campaña en Chicago ayer para dar un sincero agradecimiento al personal ya los voluntarios.
Yo quería pasar este video a lo largo, porque es un mensaje a cada persona que ayudó a construir esta campaña merece ver. Él no estaba hablando sólo a aquellos de nosotros en la oficina - que estaba hablando con todos ustedes.

En su discurso en la noche de las elecciones, el presidente Obama le dio todo el título que han pasado el último año y una ganancia media:
"La mejor campaña del equipo y voluntarios en la historia de la política."
Muchas veces en esta elección, esta campaña se contó. Dijeron que nos apoyan no saldría, y nunca volvería a ver el tipo de participación de los votantes que vimos en 2008. Nos dijeron que estaría enterrado en el dinero y la influencia de intereses especiales. Y dijeron que ninguna campaña podría superar los contratiempos políticos que enfrentamos.
El año pasado, un diario importante de Estados Unidos preguntó: "¿Es Obama brindis?" En fecha tan reciente como hace dos semanas, otro corrió este titular: "¿Puede Obama a ganar?"
Martes por la noche, todos respondieron a todas las dudas con un SÍ rotundo WE CAN. Al llamar a las puertas, la organización de los bancos de teléfono, y saltar en un poco de dinero cuando podía, le construyó una campaña que no tiene paralelo. Y reelegido nuestro presidente.
También demostró que millones de personas corrientes que toman posesión de una causa sigue siendo la fuerza más poderosa en nuestro proceso político. Se puso de manifiesto que las organizaciones de base y las donaciones pequeñas no sólo son la forma correcta de ganar, pero también la manera más eficaz.
¿Cómo hemos llegado hasta aquí debe orientar hacia dónde vamos. Si vamos a lograr las cosas América votaron el martes, usted tiene que ser aún más complicado para conseguir que se hagan de lo que eran en darnos a todos la oportunidad.
Estaremos en contacto pronto sobre cómo podemos empezar a trabajar en algunas de las principales prioridades del presidente en su segundo mandato.
Por ahora, sólo quiero decir que estoy muy orgulloso de este equipo. Y no puedo esperar para ver donde se toma este increíble movimiento de aquí.

I wanted to pass this video along, because it's a message every single person who helped build this campaign deserves to see. He wasn't just talking to those of us in the office -- he was talking to all of you. In his speech on Election Night, President Obama gave you all the title you have spent the last year and a half earning: "The best campaign team and volunteers in the history of politics." So many times in this election, this campaign was counted out. They said our supporters wouldn't turn out, and we'd never see the kind of voter participation we saw in 2008. They said we'd be buried in money and special-interest influence. And they said that no campaign could overcome the political headwinds we faced. Last year, a major American newspaper asked, "Is Obama toast?" As recently as two weeks ago, another ran this headline: "Can Obama win?" Tuesday night, you all answered all of those doubts with a resounding YES WE CAN. By knocking on doors, organizing phone banks, and chipping in a few bucks when you could, you built a campaign that is unparalleled. And you re-elected our president. You also proved that millions of ordinary people taking ownership of a cause is still the most powerful force in our political process. You showed that grassroots organizing and small donations are not only the right way to win, but also the most effective way. How we got here must guide where we go. If we're going to accomplish the things America voted for on Tuesday, you've got to be even more involved in getting them done than you were in giving us all the chance.
